Fenofibrate safe in patients with type 2 diabetes and moderate renal impairment

KEY POINT

Long-term fenofibrate use is beneficial in patients with moderate renal impairment without any excess drug safety concerns, according to a new analysis of data from the Fenofibrate Intervention and Event Lowering in Diabetes (FIELD) study.
